commonWP - enables usage of free, public CDN (jsDelivr)

#1
commonWP is a very clever wordress plugin which will load all of the files from wordpress inlcuding core, themes, plugins etc hosted in wordpress.org or github from JsDelivr.

My review
I have tested it in https://binil.org - this is hosted here in GigaRocket.
So what I did was I removed all my custom theme modifications, used only the free themes (no child themes) and plugins available in wordpress.org and the site seems to be working quite well. At the moment of this post the plugin doesn't seem to be updated to work with wordpress 5, but my site is 5.0.1 and it seems to be ok.

Edit: The developer has updated the plugin for support with 5.0.2.

I have also written a review of it - https://binil.org/commonwp-wordpress-plugin-review/

Please check the speed of my site in

Please do tell me your view about this plugin.

@binil I can't understand why one would need the plugin. For me it's always easy to upload a plugin through the plugin dashboard. I can't visualize the need for the plugin.

This plugin is not used for the purpose that you thought above.

This plugin enables the jsDelivr CDN for all the files that a browser loads. Normally when a user opens a wordpress site, everything is loaded from our server. But if you have this plugin, if there is a script or matching file present in jsDelivr, it will be loaded from that CDN instead of our server, thereby reducing the load in our server.

Have a look at this report

https://tools.keycdn.com/speed?h=5c17a47...3cfb159025

You can see that almost all the css, js are loaded from cdn.jsdelivr.net

Thanks for explaining @binil. I guess I've never needed to worry about space on my server. Nowadays servers come with huge specs. But yes, if that is an issue I can understand the need for a plugin like that. Since it's listed with WordPress.org it must be audited, so probably safe to use as well.

Again you might have misunderstood.. You are not saving space in the server, but rather bandwidth since the files are being loaded from CDN. And it should decrease the load time of the site.
