Eapps and Bluehost

Eapps doesn't have anything for free, as far as I know, but I've always been really happy with their hosting and especially their technical support. My music game, PlayAlongKeys, has a fairly traditional server backend (Apache, Tomcat, MySql, Java, etc.) I've hosted it at Eapps and before that one of their predecessors that they acquired. I spend around $50/month and it has been quite good.

For other, more informal, website where I'm not doing any backend programming, I've used BlueHost. It seems like you get a lot of things for not that much money if you can stay away from the pricier options and choose your plans carefully.
