Thumbs Up
Hello to all WordPress fans ,

I opened this thread to share favorite plugins of WordPress , Maybe someone find a cool new one s/he never used before

Also if you need a plugin to do some job just explain the job details and you might get a response from other members

I find the Auto Tag Generator very useful for all WordPress

and 404 Simple Redirect which redirects using a default HTTP 302 header so no worry about penalization

That`s a hard one, I like lots of wordpress plugins and have used 100`s.

If I have to chose one, then it would be: Wordpress Rank Reporter

Please do NOT contact me via PM for support request`s, use the support forum instead, you will get a faster response.

Responsive WordPress Slider - Soliloquy Lite

https://wordpress.org/plugins/soliloquy-lite/

I tried this plugin and it is simple and works great. It is also free. The images need to be 960 by 330 pixels. And that is easy to accomplish by going into the Images Library to upload and edit photos. Here is a step by step tutorial how to resize the images in the WordPress Media Library so they will fit into the slider.

Another tip is that if you can't get the right proportion you want, and lose the perspective you're after, you could always edit the image with your favourite photo editor, like GIMP and use a transparent background to compensate for the large width.

Thanks @Hazem. I just knowing if HTTP 301 redirect will make duplicate content. I was changed to 302 for now. Good

Founds this plug-in useful too. In order to create custom sidebars. The sidebar that typically comes with a theme applies to all pages. This plug-in helps to make the sidebar custom for the page.

there will be some issues with that if you have more than wordpress script installed :/

in some cases I use wp for TLD and sub domain

like

domain.com , support.domain.com , wiki.domain.com

with different script installation

I got error multi redirect then error 404 , then error you dont have access to view

after I use plugin that redirect 404 to index page and/or custom page .. I still get errors from other sub wp installed

http://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack/

I like to have those options that are only available with wordpress.com on a self hosted wordpress site.

Restrict Content Pro - Premium Membership plugin

Works very well, reviews and support are good. There is a price tag though.

W3 Total cache for one-click cache option. I don't believe it is the "best caching plugin" though. Easy to set-up and noticeable speed boost.

Disqus Conditional Load for comments (Disqus). Used this plugin instead of the official one for preventing auto loads.

Wordfence Security

Quote:Wordfence starts by checking if your site is already infected. We do a deep server-side scan of your source code comparing it to the Official WordPress repository for core, themes and plugins. Then Wordfence secures your site and makes it up to 50 times faster.

Wordfence Security is 100% free. We also offer a Premium API key that gives you access to our premium support ticketing system at support.wordfence.com along with two factor authentication via SMS, country blocking and the ability to schedule scans for specific times.

Got some excellent reviews.

I recomend JetPack. After connection to WordPress.com our website Mobile Theme is my favourite function. After enabling it, we can comfortably browse our website from any mobile device and it not depends on theme, that we use in our webpage.
Stats are great too and we can see it without logging on our webpage - we can simply go to WordPress.com website and see stats of all our websites.

being that I do a lot of band websites I'm going to mention

www.gigpress.com - Gigpress for adding shows to your website and

There are probably going to be people who tilt their heads sideways when I say this, but my favorite plugin is "Simple Mathjax." For those who don't know, Mathjax is a Javascript plugin that allows different math typesetting languages (such as LaTex and MathML) to be rendered in places that weren't originally intended to render math natively, in this case Wordpress. It accomplishes the goal (in the case of this plugin) by triggering a parser on a remote server when you load your page. The parser then returns beautiful typset math for you to look at.

The reason this is important to me, is because I'm a math/physics nerd (and I'm currently self-studying through an undergraduate curriculum I created,) and I want to be able to post poignant things from my studies and, in years to come, my research in blog form.

If you were looking for WordPress plugin then WordPress SEO by Yost is far better then others right there. So my recommend is WordPress SEO by Yost.

I agree, I just started using it recently after reading these forums.

@eagleieric .Have merged "best plug-in" with "favourite plug-in" topics. Please search before you open a new topic.
