Where? In Moscow, Russia.
Who? Portugal maybe. I think they were impressive against Spain, especially one player.

The winner could still be one of the previous winners because Brazil, England, France and Uruguay is still in the competition.

It's intersting how unevenly the knockout stages was divided, with most of the stronger teams on one side. This is a great opportunity for the remaining teams on the "weaker" side (Russia, Croatia, Sweden, England) to reach the final for the first time, at least in a very long time. I think the winner will be amongst the teams on the stronger side (Uruguay, France, Brazil, Belgium) but the final is only one match so you'll never know. Maybe we'll get a surprise winner like Russia. I don't think it's impossible. They are not as bad as their ranking suggests.

I'm hoping Belgium may do well this time round - I guess Croatia is going to do well they seem to be naturals at this. Would be interesting if Russia made it to the final round.

Looks like France is going to win. Belgium probably in third place. That's my guess now that we've only got two matches left.

I hope France will not win. Which by default but maybe not choice means I hope Croatia will beat France. But with the way France played Belgium, maybe that is not a logical wish. They play hard and formidable.

Ok!... The winners are in the following order:
1- The FIFA (as always)
2- The hosting nation (hopefully)
3- All the player that did well during the competition (even if their teams were ousted). Their performance during the competition increases their market value.
4- The sponsors and every commercial entity that benefited from the event in one way or the other
5- lastly, the nation that do win the "Bogus" Cup... but its all psychological!

I also have a list for the losers, but you didn't ask :)

OK I'm asking.

Can you apply it to Germany losing against South Korea? How and what happened there?

I'm trying to find out the exact time the final between Croatia and France will be played? Looks like in South Africa it will be 5:00 p.m. Google seems to think France has 49% chance to win and Croatia 22% with a possibility of 29% draw. I hope Croatia will win, but I guess the odds are in favour of France. They'll probably pay a very aggressive and winners take all hard game.

I was also cheering for Croatia. They really looked like the underdog and would have been great if they could have won, and more importantly France would have lost, but France obviously was the stronger team. I just didn't think the award of penalties was always kosher. Final score should have been 3-2 in France's favour.

Senegal would have made it if that bs yellow flag rule wasn't a thing but I guess there needs to be some regulation so that the season doesn't go into overtime.

I re-watched the game last night suprisingly. Croatia dominated, from start to finish, but inexperience is what costed them and allowed France to score 2 easy goals.

If you did not know the final score and had to re-watch, it would look like France was just on the field to run around and hopefully at some point get the ball. I dont deny the win, but someone take the time to re-watch and just see how sad the outcome was :(.

None the less, this will be a huge confidence booster for Croatian Football and no doubt the more composed/experienced team won. If the final was France vs France ( the way they played), would of been probably the most boring final ever. - Avoid silly comments about it would be boring as France couldn`t play France :)
