Hi guys,
I done a favour for a local running club and made a website using perch cms. Working well except for one error,
Solution for the "escapeshellcmd disabled" issue
In order to eliminate this error message you need to do ONE of the following things:
Remove the escapeshellcmd string from the disable_functions at php.ini* file
Ask your hosting provider to remove the string above if you don't have an access to the php.ini* file
Change hosting provider which allows the running of the escapeshellcmd function.
but the #?*!$ irish hosting I have won't allow this even though perch say its not a security issue.... and want me (well the club) to pay 700 euro for the vps which this site doesn't currently need as its small .
I have the site working fine on the free hosting but I love the community support and staff activeness here and want to go for the paid. Will I have this issue here as perch has functions which need it.
Also can I use another forum account or can I buy it without one
Cheers,
Justin
