Get a widows phone - it runs on low end hardware very well.

Well, thats right, but most of all apps don't work on those phones... you can only use basic apps and windows apps, which is not so good...

Yes, but it lives on in the form of LineageOS, so it's not exactly "dead" per se, rather it just moved on to a successor project, or so I heard anyways.

Cyanogenmod is an Android ROM. But Android is an OS. For old phones can use Cyanogenmod. But If you have +5.0 Android, I think you shouldn't use Cyanogenmod.

I'm very satisfied with my Cyanogenmod a.k.a. LineageOS, since my old android operation system which essentially was stock Android 6 with a bad, laggy, unstable and battery draining LG skin on top. Most of those issues were fixed after resetting my phone and installing that amazing custom rom. So glad there was such an easy fix..

I use Cyanogenmod on my Galaxy S3, installed it probably like 6 months back and so far, I'm happy with it. Much better than the slow Android 4.3 that I've had before. I also think I deserved an upgrade. :p

I've used CM on my HTC desire HD and Samsung Galaxy SII but always had some lags with it, like freezing or rebooting.
But after I've bought Moto X2 I realized that pure Android is much better for me.
