Any one for anime moves? I'm crazy about anime. Particularly from Japan, as the ones from Japan are really cool. I hope to be able to do anime myself one day. Some of my favourite anime movies from Japan are "Memories", "Perfect Blue", "Voices of a Different Star".

Here is a link to some of the anime movies from Japan that I like:

well not just movies i am fond of anime series, particularly action packed and historical in plot like Rurouni, Vagabond and the likes.. though some movie adaptation of animes were way different from the original series,it doesn't made me think of the series less to my liking. actually the moment i watched the cowboy bebop movie, i searched for the anime. now i am currently watching it. so long as the plot is fresh and interesting, my fondness in watching animes won't stop ;)

The best anime movie I have seen recently is Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works. It was not a continuation of the show. I found this to be much better than the actual show. That being said I would definitely recommend watching the show before the movie. If you try to watch this movie without first watching the show you will have no idea what is going on and will not enjoy it. This is basically a summary of the show with a few adaptations. The movie focuses more on Shiro and how he grows.

Here is a synopsis:

Shirou Emiya is an average student that is dragged into a war over the Holy Grail, an item that can fulfill any wish or desire. The contestants all use spirit servants to fight each other, however as Emiya is a newcomer and unskilled he must join together with Rin Tohsaka to survive the battles. This is only a temporary solution, as Tohsaka's spirit servant Archer greatly dislikes Emiya for an unknown reason.

I've loved Anime for a couple of years now, (By the way "Anime" is specifically cartoons from Japan, otherwise it's simply "animation" x'D). I absolutely adore anything made by Studio Ghibli, Spirited Away is my favorite movie of theirs and it's also my favorite film of all time. :3 I'm also a fan of Satoshi Kon, even though I've only seen one film of his, Millennium Actress, but I really want to see Perfect Blue and Tokyo Godfathers. Another anime movie director I love is Mamoru Hosoda who did The Girl who Leapt through Time, Summer Wars, and Wolf Children, all of which I love. o3o I also love older flicks like Ghost in the Shell and Akira. Oh, also Makoto Shinkai, he's amazing. @_@ Five centimeters per second and Journey to Agartha are beautiful. <3

I'm always open for suggestions as well. :3

Anime is a style (faces, eyes, hair, etc.) that can be drawn by anyone although it originated in Japan. I like Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell, My Neighbor Totoro, anything by Hayao Miyazaki, Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist (Conqueror of Shambala), Bleach, and my all-time favorite manga/anime series/movie: Death Note.

Yes, I too love watching animated movies.
Some of my favorite animated movies are:
1. Kungfu Panda: a movie on big fat panda how it overcomes its size and becomes a master in kung fu.
2. How to train your dragon: the two parts of this movie are awesome. The screenplay, visual effects are highlight of this movie.
3. Ice age
and there are many more animated movies which have a good story content and a marvelous visual effects.

I love Ghibli movies, Ghost in the Shell, and films by Satoshi Kon or Mamoru Hosoda. Recently I really liked watching Wolf Children (AKA Ookami Kodomo Ame to Yuki). There was something really poetic in the way that film played out. Also, most things by Production IG are worth watching. Anyone else waiting to see the new Ghibli films, Kaguya and Marnie?

Just finished watching The Tale of Princess Kaguya. Beautiful film! If any of you who like Ghibli movies have a chance to see it, please do! The animation was like an old Japanese painting, and the story was great! Not as good as something like Wolf Children, but still very much worth seeing.

I don't think I've ever watched any anime movies. Just those anime shows that used to air on TV when I was a kid, that at the time I didn't even know that it was called an anime. I'm going to go through this thread and check if I can find some I like to watch.
