Anyone come across an open source version of squarespace?

Hey y'all,

Has anyone come across an open source version of square space? Square space has things going right for the less than technical folks, and I've had a couple of friends ask me for help building a site. I think it would be nice to set them up with something like square space so they could maintain it themselves, but without the cost.

Thoughts?

I doubt you will find a legally open source version of Squarespace because it seems to be a commercial (proprietary) software. I have never used Squarespace so I don't know how it is but maybe you could use Wordpress or some other open source CMS and install it on a free hosting site such as GigaRank?
