Sentora is not a good idea - from what I've heard, its security is not completely up to date. It was developed by the same team who created zpanel and then after they sold zpanel to Hostwinds they started Sentora. Sentora is a server panel, but not even close to the same quality as cPanel. They can't really be compared.

If you do want to use a good panel - although it is also not really on the same high level as cPanel, then VestaPanel is the popular choice.

From the look of it, Sentora has similar user interface as cPanel. I was about to test it, but I forget and now I am using Virtualmin. Virtualmin is the best choice for me, before using Virtualmin, I tried VestaPanel, It is a good server panel but I had a really hard time configuring it (updating mysql to mysql 5.7), I don't know how many times I have to reinstall my VPS (Always forget to backup) LOL. Untill, finally I feel confortable with virtualmin, especially now it has responsive user interface.

Yes Sentora is a good webpanel, depends the use that you want to do with your vps. For hosting or resellers Vesta panel is a good choice too, but actually I'm using Centos Panel

You may want to learn how to manage your own server and do what the panel like do for you.
If you wanted that level of understanding.

I guess it depends on your goals. A nice panel, that you know how to use, can save time after all.
