Because they don't have a text editor that allows me to modify the local/remote files.
Do you know if there are some plugins?

I use CuteFtp. not sure if there is a Linux version of it or not. I can edit, use SSH protocols to connect. You can also connect to mulitple servers at the same time. I have tried many others and nothing I have found works the same at CuteFTP from globalscape.

I don't know if there is a free version of it or not. I do know its well worth the money . I enclosed some screen shots

I'd forgotten about CuteFTP! I'm definitely going to try them thanks for the suggestion Stroke. I use CutePDFprinter, and had forgotten that it has a number of other good things on offer too. All for free! :p

I've tried some stuff these days and:
- @mrcola, yes WinSCP is very powerful, but the text editor isn't (and set up another text editor is not what I want).
- @painbrain, net2ftp seems nice, but it can't work for my needs; anyway, I need it for another project, thanks for mentioning that!
- @strokerace, CuteFTP is perfect for my needs, thank you very much!

The built in Putty is what makes it strong. you can rightklick .sh files and execute them with a single click.

I didn't know about it. I'll try it and at the very least I'll change the text editor to Notepad++ or Sublime Text!
Thank you @pinsipans!

Yes, As everyone is saying I personally like WinSCP due to it not skipping files unlike FileZilla. With slow internet I would recommend WinSCP.
