I don't understand why it's called Kollywood, if it's about Tamil films and it starts with a T?

Is like hollywood, bollywood, & the tamil south indian cinema is called KOLLYWOOD, so what the reason behind it !!

But where does the K come from?
Hollywood is the original, Bollywood = Hollywood + Bombay, There's also Nollywood = Nigeria + Hollywood.
