Can You Link to a Footnote in WP's Post Editor?

I'd like to be able to link superscripted numbers in the main text to footnotes at the end of the document, but I don't quite see how to do internal linking. I'm sure there's a way.

Anyone know how?

Why not search for a plugin that will do it? Like Footnotes for example.

The ways I know of are:

• Use a plugin to do it.
• Do it with HTML.

I would go with whichever one you're most comfortable using first & try the other method if the first one doesn't work.

It never occurred to me that this would need a plugin to do, but if it does and there are good plugins for this, then I'm in business. I've installed Easy Footnotes and will see how it works for me (Footnotes is no longer a supported plugin). There are about five more, but Easy Footnotes looks like it is the most popular.
