Cloning a SSD Drive? Suggestions Required

My main OS drive on my PC is an 120GB SSD (Sandisk Ultra 2), it's used for the OS (Win 7) and most of my popular used programs such as Adobe, Office, web dev tools etc. I've had it for around 18 months now and it has served me well.

I only have around 22GB free on the SSD drive, so recently I purchased a Sandisk Ultra 480GB to replace to the 120GB SSD to provide me with more fast read storage.

Ideally I really should do a clean install of everything, but to be honest I cannot be bothered with spending all that time re-installing everything again. Plus it means pissing around finding all the drivers and favourite programs again.

Would cloning the SSD disk be an easier option for me? Is there a chance of data loss cloning a SSD drive or is it pretty straight forward and simple?

Recommendations please guys and gals..

Cheers in advance

Are you sure Sandisk does not provide a dedicated program to clone your existing system? I know Samsung has and works beautifully...
If that is the case, it's as easy as it can get, you just need to be able to connect your new disk to the existing computer (HD enclosure is the best option).
If you need to transfer your system to a new HD/SSD (and it makes every sense if your Windows installation is relatively new and works without problems) you can look at the free Macrium Reflect tool. http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx

If you got a Seagate or Western Digital HDD, you could use a free version of "Acronis True Image",

For Seagate its "DiscWizard" and for WD its "True Image 2015/16".

This is where Linux is generally more complicated than M$ Windows. It is not because Windows normally has any useful tools. It is because there are planty of non-GNU tools with easy to use GUI.

Back to the subject, if you have access to HirenCD
