Recently, I'm thinking whether to put my site on Cloudflare or not and so I went to do research. This website is a good read if you are interested and below are the excerpt. Go to the website for a full read.

@TKmeridian Suggest you do research on negatives as well as positives so you can find a balanced point of view about CloudFlare. For me personally if you're situated close to its hot spots, maybe it will be a good situation for you, but if not, it may drag on you. There may also be a time lag between when you are fixing your site in actually seeing the changes, as with CloudFlare it works with cache. It may take some time for the changes to propagate. Also, the security is mass produced, so could cause conflicts or not - like in some cases there are issues which I think you should try and find ahead of time.

Depends on what you need. But like with anything in life if it's free, it may come at a cost to you and you have to balance the pros and cons with that.

I quite agreed with what you are saying. For myself, I'm quite attracted to 3 main points of what Cloudflare is offering and they are:

1. It protects your website from hackers
2. CloudFlare protects your website from Dos and DDoS attack
3. It provides free SSL certificate

Other then that, I cant really see the attractiveness of being on Cloudflare and they cache only static pages to display. The SSL certificate is a bonus as there are alternative ways to get SSL. So it's really the first 2 that make sense but like you said.

Still contemplating whether to do so or not.....lol
