Code Writer - WIN8 app

Haven't tried it yet. I used to use SublimeText until it stopped being free.
Looks like Code Writer has similar features which is great
The only thing I see it doesn't have is the use of snippets (insert code templates), but you can do that manually even if it's not as convenient.
I believe Notepad++ is very similar too.

I legitimately haven't used any apps from the store for Windows 8, I like sticking with Notepad++ and an FTP client.

They just don't appeal to me, I would rather navigate through a window than an app. Apps are always tried to be made the cleanest possible, while windows seem to have more options.

I can understand what you are saying OneAppleBoy. I like to have all kinds of windows open when I'm coding. Apart from the IDE itself I like to use a simpler text editor to write notes in, multiple terminals, C++11 standard in PDF format, file browser(s), web browser, etc.
