Condolences to Belgium

I never watch the news, so only tonight I noticed what has gone down in Belgium. Greatest shock was the location as I was at that exact spot two years ago. There are so many trains going from there and there are four levels I think. I remember how confused I was to catch the right train. I also used the train to Brussels main station. Stayed in a hotel about three blocks from the station.

Really feel for the Belgian people!

Yeah, really awful... I wish ISIS would just go away. I know that my country's seemingly endless warmongering probably played a part in getting people angry and desperate enough to form terrorist groups, so it's really hard to stomach watching things like this. Stay strong Belgium!

I can't imagine how much harder it much be to watch somewhere you've been to be bombed... Was anyone you know injured?

I only know people from the Frihost forum who live in Belgium, so hope no news is good news. But yes, that was brutal, particularly considering Belgium is almost like sleepy hollow, rarely that a shot is fired anywhere. Must have shaken them to their core.

That's good, hopefully they're all OK! Also, I know what you mean...Why was it Belgium of all places? I haven't kept up with the bombing news much, as it just gets me too sad, but I hope they find who did this and put them in jail.

Well two of them we know don't exist anymore since they were suicide bombers. But I thought the third one was their "supervisor". Probably needed to talk them into it - I don't know how they do that though, particularly for people who have lived in a peaceful country like Belgium for so long. Possibly the real perpetrators don't even live in Belgium. And they're slippery. Could be they're in another European country by now, plotting and planning. They've been one step ahead of the police everywhere.

Darn, hopefully they catch the third one soon then, though if the attack was really done by ISIS then I guess catching one person won't really do much...

True. Also difficult to get to the real truth too. I still wonder about who ISIS really is. Sometimes it feels like a bogeyman that has been created by the US and the West to keep the Middle East in turmoil. The more terror, the greater the reason for those Governments to curb everyone's freedom as well as make plenty of money out of armaments.
