I'm confused about reuse of copyrighted music videos. Suppose I've uploaded a copyrighted video of lady gaga. There are lots of edited videos of lady gaga on youtube by other users. I dont think that all the channels have the permision of lady gaga. Because when I asked lady gaga for permision to publish my video she didn't reply me in yes or no in her youtue private massage. Show please suggest me.

Think it is always the best policy to ask the owner first. A few years ago I was helping a friend with a birding Website, and he used a fair amount of bird photographs. I remember when we used a photo with credit to the owner, it was spotted by its owner who complained. He wanted us to approach him first. I wish I still had the e-mail from him (think I'll check up if there is one) as it made a really good case for talking to the source first. Bottom line, every owner has a different set of rules for reproducing their art. Probably best to check it out first particularly if it is from the United States. For music it will probably be a little more difficult. And the US always seems to make things a million times more complicated because they are such a heavily legal focused type country.

There is nothing you can do about. However you could contact about copyright with their agents, if they have any, otherwise nothing.

What If I didn't get any reply from the owner after approaching about the permission???
You'd be taking a risk if you went ahead. I've just researched the topic and found a few interesting things:

One way to get permission is to subscribe to a service that gives you access to Works with a license (i.e., with permission) to use them in specific ways. Another way to get permission is to ask the person who owns the copyright in the Work. If you do not have permission (either via a subscription, license or individually), you are taking a risk.

Maybe you could try and find an organisation on the Internet that has a license to reproduce Lady Gaga videos and can give you permission. Why not check it out - you could start with her recording agents. They probably will insist you give credit to them of course. But if Lady Gaga didn't reply to you, maybe this would be your second option.

I didn't realize that it is illegal to copy YouTube shows. I was aware of copyright laws being valid for the owner who posted the video, but didn't realize one could be liable to YouTube as well and through YouTube would be subject to US copyright laws:

Thanks for your suggestion Genesis. After following your suggestion I find a company "Bravado". Today I've contact a that company. Lets see what they reply. I'll update about it after getting any reply from there. Genesis thanks again for your suggestion.

Smartstop thats why we are here :) Glad that you found that kind of company.

Actually iGdesigner that is not entirely correct, the team here at Gigarank is of course here to help us with problems on our accounts and on this very site but this sort of help and advice is you guys going that extra mile for us and I feel it is one of the many reasons this site is so great.

Not so many sites can boast about having a team of staff so willing to go that extra mile for members and get nothing in return except of course out gratitude, I think you guys here at Gigarank are AWESOME, bravo to the Gigarank Team. :yahoo::clapping::drinks:
