So I booted up SMF on my site and started messing around with that. SMF has seriously upgraded there "portal" plugin and made it so you can even enter in your own custom HTML or PHP pages. I think this might just work for my needs. I am not very far into making everything Kinda splitting it up working on things here and there when i get a little further along I will let you know what I think but if you want to check it out Final Nexus. I need to set up a redirect on the main index page because I installed the forum in a different directory but for now an Enter button works. And the main portal page is very busy with lots of blocks I know they are mostly the blocks that were put on when installed I gotta go through them yet. Also have not customized the theme yet I am working on it.

Well, most of my clients has specific requests like the last one needed a members panel where members can Register and Login and checkout their account balance which they are depositing every month with an admin panel included to manage all the accounts and that has many form fields like father's name, mother's name, nationality, identity, nominee picture etc. so in that case I needed to build a custom one.

Why custom one. Wordpress provide all that feature and plugin also.
What is in your mind that what short of site you are looking for.
I have several clients who give me access to their accounts you can say i do assistant job maintaining their website.
I love this job and i need more people who are bzy and cant handle their net stuff they can PM me.

By this way you can filter out some guys aren't particularly interested in a friendly community,
but looking for a quick opportunity to get some webspace.
And after a while the side is dead, because the owner moved on to another hoster for different reasons.

Some hoster requires regular activities in their forum. Or, like this one 10 quality posts.
For my opinion an acceptable handicap.

Well said every one. I'd also add that Ferreira's needs would obviously be better met by a Website host that does not require posting for hosting.

I prefer Joomla, probably because it has an extra challenge and I like the greater control I have.

If from what i understand your asking about using templates or from scratch i preffer from scratch! you learn more this way.
