DNS records

Hi,
I am so confused because I have added my own DNS records and I cant install any scripts unless the DNS records will be updated and show external domain on gigalicious. So I want to ask how long does it takes to get DNS records to refresh and work with gigalicous?

Regards,
Greg

It can take anything from immediate to three days depending on how the registrar of your domain is set up. Have you changed the name servers of your domain with your registrar? I.e. went into your account with your registrar and changed the name servers to our name servers?

Yes, I did that, and now im just waiting to refresh and be able to install my joomla manualy.
Anyway I have seen that i can access my cpanel through the hosting ip address, but I cant get to the public_html folder and install the script.

Well if you like I can temporarily change your domain to the sub-domain that you mentioned in your Hosting Request. You could then park your .co.uk domain in your cpanel at the same time. As soon as you see the DNS is OK, I could then change the sub-domain to the domain again. That way you could get immediate access to the public folder until the DNS has sorted itself out.

Please use hosting support section instead of feedback section for your account related questions.

Done!

Please make a new support request in this sub-forum when you're ready to change it back to the .co.uk domain.
