I`m a keen walker, I love going for long walks in the countryside and in the hills. I practically go every Sunday.

Anyone else like to go walking?

I'm an avid walker and have been most of my life. My wife and I walk almost daily. On weekends we often visit area parks and nature preserves to walk on trails. There's a really nice botanic garden here.

I just bought a pedometer, more for curiosity than anything to do with an exercise routine. But its' fun to look at the stats - guess I'm just a nerd that way.

I'm a walker too. The scenery where I am in the UAE is not as great as yours. If I walk it has to be either early in the morning or at night, particularly during the hot summer months.

Well I am and outdoors men. I hunt.... a lot. I live on ten acres that I walk and check out the sign for the various animals I an looking to bring down. I also have a 50 acre spot I frequent as well with a couple lakes. Unfortunately lately due to the snow cant get back to that one :(

I like to walk while thinking some programming or high tech thing. It works for me like the theory of Einstein.

I enjoy walking as well when I can find a nice country area to walk in. I don't much like to walk around in town and just see buildings and cars everywhere.

You're right. It's therapy for me too. Particularly if I do it regularly and my walking goes into automatic. My mind seems to do some expanding of its own.

When I'm driving long distances the same thing occurs. Ideas just seem to be popping up from nowhere.

I do enjoy hiking and being out in nature, I do not however like just taking walks down the sidewalk. I would much rather play some type of sport than walk. Most of the time I just find walking to be boring, there is no excitement in walking. The only way I could enjoy going on a walk is if I had music to listen to, a friend to talk to or I was hiking somewhere scenic.

I like to explore new places, especially in the forest. Walking is a bit slow compared to running and cycling so I usually don't walk long distances on my own for that reason, and when I walk with someone they usually don't want to walk that far. So to be honest I don't really walk that much. On days when I have been sitting down all day I sometimes feel I have to go for a walk but then it's often too dark to walk in the forest so I end up walking a short distance around the neighborhood.

I used to really enjoy walking in the woods but due to personal problems I don't get out any longer, I truly miss the woods, used to be my spiritual retreat from the insanity of humanity.

I love it.

I usually try to go 4 times a week, I usually do roughly between 4 to 5 miles. Maybe to some that isn't a lot but for me it's ok.

I just love putting headphones on and then just walking being in your own world, it's so relaxing. I wish I lived in a rural area as that would be much better than walking around a built up busy area.

I like to go walking in the countryside or down mountain paths and stuff but in general everyday life i walk almost everywhere as i don't drive a car so it's a blessing and a curse at times, so depending on the situation depends on whether I like walking or not.

I really like walking...I pace around my room if I can't get out XD

I like taking really long walks with people: It's nice bonding time o3o And since I live in a small town with a lot of places to walk to that makes it nice ^^

I love going on walks! It's getting harder to walk through the forest here though. They're slowly cutting it down and building houses in its place. :( Walking along sidewalks isn't too bad, as long as I don't need to pass many people, as it's kind of narrow. I love getting outside and just seeing things.:)

I only walk from home to the bus stop, and from the bus stop to my college. I prefer running/jogging, but I cannot manage to do that regulary.

I adore walking. The thing is that I live in a place where it's hard to walk because of the crazy drivers. So I usually go on walks on Sunday morning because everyones asleep and so there aren't any cars. Unless I am in the city, they have special sidewalks for runners, and I use those. My favorite part about walking is that I can see whats happening around me at a slower pace. If you travel by car you miss a lot of wonderful things and the outside world is really a beautiful place.
