Drupal - Pros & Cons?

So I went to a presentation about Drupal that the local developer meetup here gave recently. It was on Drupal 7, which isn't responsive, but Drupal 8 is supposed to be responsive. Overall it seemed like the admin panel had a much higher learning curve than WordPress, but according to the presentation it's supposed to be better from a security perspective. Has anyone used Drupal, and if so, what are the pros and cons of using it over other CMSs?

I haven't used Drupal, but from a security point of view Drupal can create plenty of problems if it is not regularly updated. Being a CMS but especially being a CMS that is vulnerable for infections.

Yeah, good point! I guess if a CMS exists, someone somewhere will find a way to hack it...

I've installed Drupal before, thought it'd be cool and to look more professional than the other guys who use WP :/
However, After 2 weeks, I felt like it sucks and there are so many reasons people do not like it.
It does not even look good for customers, ah! patches I hate patches .. and these silly themes grr

Really? That's good to know! In the US, a lot of government sites use it, including The White House's site. I would've thought it'd be more developed if government sites use it, but I guess not. I'm surprised there's so many patches...Are the themes that bad?

EDIT: I played around with a demo here: http://www.opensourcecms.com/scripts/details.php?scriptid=191
I don't see where to edit the CSS...One of the most useful pages in WordPress for me. So to edit a theme I would need to do it by FTP?
That's kind of annoying.

Drupal is easy to learn how to use. The features are however limited!! But for someone who has no idea how to set up their website it is definitely something you should check out.

Drupal is as broken as joomla. Those two are siblings all covered in security holes. Ofc organisations like a white house will use drupal but maintained and secure because of the information they are holding.

I don't like Drupal at all. It's so difficult to use, slow and you must be countinually updating plugins, changing permise in PHP files to can update plugins, comprobing that all plugins are compatible etc. Also I don't like its all Ajax-based.

I tried the last version of Drupal, and the last version of Joomla, in both cases there are no much differences. In fact, Drupal 8 improved some tools to manage user and profiles. In the other side, Joomla 3.7.3 has some new fix for security. I think, Drupal is more easy to manage than Joomla.

Personally, if I need to build an e-commerce site, I use PrestaShop.
Is responsive, easy to use even for those who are not very practical with the computer and includes everything from the most common payment systems to shipping systems.

I tried other CMS solutions like Woocommerce by WordPress but PrestaShop is the best.

Its a good cms but its con is that it can be usead by only tech exports. A beginner or who has a little knowledge in coding will find it difficult to use.
