Effective use of animated GIFs in web design

Has anyone been able to add a GIF to a website which fits the design of it or is it not worth adding animated GIFs to a website at all.

I was thinking this because I was thinking of possibly adding GIFs to my websites to make the site look unique instead of it feeling like a static website.

Any ideas, suggestions or guides to make good use of GIFs?

GIF was formerly used in static html sites.
It is no longer used in general.
Different things are being used instead of GIF.
I think it does not make sense to use it unless you need it.

I like GIFs. They don't take up too many resources, and they are very easy to create and manipulate. I've been using ULead Gif Animator 5 for many years.

Think this is one of the reasons that I like our current design. It is different and unique. So Barnum if you feel like Gifs, go for them. Try them out. Even if they're not fashionable trend wise, they may be right for your Website.

You can always use animated SVG, which are very similar to gifs

I think GIFs may still be used effectively for smaller parts of the website when no animation is needed.
You also have to consider the scaling and that you cant easily stop the GIF which may be inconvienent for the user.

So yes, in rare occasions GIFs are ideal because they take little ressources and are easy to use.
On the downside they can easily get annoying if you want to focus on the text

Someone is cheating Writing posts in your way won't give you free hosting or vps as those are not quality. Please start writing properly, the sooner the better, otherwise you will have to make additional posts in order to get what you came for.
