EMET is a well known anti-exploit software in security circles. It can stop exploits for applications it watches over. The download is here; http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2458544 The latest version as of this writing is EMET 4.1 Update 1.
It has built in support for several applications and you can always use the App button to add your applications. Be sure to add all of your internet facing apps, like Adobe Reader, Firefox, VLC etc. An internet facing app is one that takes input from the net, either directly, like your browser, or indirectly, like Adobe Reader, which reads files downloaded from the internet .
I have had EMET stop attacks on my systems several times. I have also tested it with a penetration testing tool and it works well.
