it will make the product obsolete and therefore force the customer to make a purchase on a new product giving the company more money. But I also guess it is what you pay for by buying a cheap product rather than investing in a higher end product.

Maybe it's like cellphones in the US. Here cellphones get 2 years or so of upgrades and then they expect people to buy new phones, which is annoying for people like me who like to keep phones for as long as possible. Planned obsolescence can be a pain to deal with...

Indeed, I hear what you guys are saying. I will be curious to play with it when it dies though, see if I can't jam a little system on a chip in the motherboard "bay" of the netbook. ;)

I am purchasing a notebook with MMC. Speed is slow, and it takes several hours to update the OS.
However, there is an advantage that battery consumption is less.
It is useful as a terminal for remote connection.
Cloud services are substantial for PCs equipped with MMC.
I think that it is probably a PC that was created to guide users to cloud services.
I think that PCs equipped with MMC will not continue to be sold in the future.
