it req. php and curl..... i check it on some linux host but not wrkng on that....

Why is curl disabled?

Lots of PHP scripts need it.

Some php functions can be used to exploit the server, thats why we disable them on default. After we check user's script, we may or may not enable the function.

CURL can be handy and should be enabled, but to prevent abuse just put a reasonable set_timeout_delay so that connections can't last too long.

I've worked at a web hosting company before, and we did not enable CURL by default. However, we would enable it for pretty much anyone who asked for it. Of course, there were security admins watching over the servers..

how about fsockopen and filegetcontents? do you disable it?
