Expect from a webhost?

What do you expect from a free/paid webhost?

Reliable web hosting with at least 98% up time. Fast turn around in support requests. Technical admin who know what they are doing. Reasonable protection against hackers and ddosers from the server point of view. Latest cPanel or DirectAdmin software. Softaculous would be great, but if everything else is perfect, Softaculous is not a necessity.

Well I didn't know what I expected, until I arrived at Gigalicous and found much more. Nice Forum, am enjoying the discussions. Great Website space. Quick turnaround in everything. Feel I'm in great company here.

Well said @Genesis. I agree, aside from satisfying the technical requirements of the service, the technical support also plays a vital role it is in fact the lifeline ..now Gigalicious is lucky to have a handyman like @Genesis.. cheers

Well I'm just too happy for the free Website space. The layout of the Gigalicous Website and Forum is attractive and look professional in design. Everything I've read so far suggests this Website is aiming at the advanced end of Website hosting technology. And it is therefore quite certain that we'll have near 100% uptime. I'll probably need to be able to talk to technical support, and looks as though this Website has easy access to that as well. cPanel is important to me and softaculous a bonus. So have a good feeling I'm lucking out here.

I'd say uptime is pretty important to me. I should be able to trust that my Website is up and running at least 99% of the time. And tech admin, at least with a turn around of a day or two. Sucks badly if there is no admin around when one is in an emergency situation like a Website that just got hacked and needs to be fixed.
