c0nvct king of the 404's was on the GigaRocket Facebook page about to share it and something said, click the join button - BAM!

:tease:

I was going to Share the page yet again, only this time to one of the FB Linux groups that havent kicked me off for having the cheek to post a science post about magnetic propulsion in a vacuum... I expect it had a Linix Kernel in there somewhere you ungrateful...

Anyway, its broke and I almost looked a bigger banana. I know you's all running around busy doing stuff and if I can help let me know but thing this deserves a little urgency as its like and a good promo tool which us newbies are probably using a fair bit....

I'm getting plenty 404's myself. Like inexplicably. For example, when I submitted a post I made, instead of showing it was published and the page following submission, it came up with a 404 page. A false negative, as when I checked the post afterwards it had been published. Like something seems to be making the 404 trigger happy. :unknown:

I did check back a few times over the last 24 hrs, but I haven't been getting 404s, I've been getting DNS errors which I haven't bothered investigating since I'm on public WiFi and suspect that.

I've taken this screen shot from the Facebook app but I'll cover all bases and check from the browser based fb and if it works from there I'll post otherwise assume that there is some problem with the URL

I've done a bit more looking in to this and It is defo a wee bug throwing a 404, See the att'd screenshot for the Facebook button in question.

However, it's more about the way FB is dealing with the URL than a mistake in the URL.

I think if you change:

http://www.gigarocket.net/forum/member.php?action=register

to:

https://www.gigarocket.net/forum/member.php

The problem will be solved.

I guessing that this is a layer of security? If anyone can explain why I'm interested to kmow

UPDATE: Even clicking the link with the action=register from here throws up a 404.
