Factory Reset Account & Move Domain

Intro

New member
The thread subject seems like a mouthful but basically, I'd like to restart my shared hosting. That is, I'd like to have all the files/databases wiped on my account (perhaps terminating my account and creating a new one will do, unless there's an easy way for me to do start over in cPanel?). Additionally, I'd like to have my domain moved from [redacted] to [redacted].

I haven't used my hosting account in a while (my old domain expired a while back), and as a result, the files/databases are all cluttered right now. I'm ready to start using it again (...and post more on the forum).

Cheers,

@Intro Would have been nice if you could have made some posts particularly since you haven't been around for that long. There has to be at least something in this for the Owner of the Forum?

Please note Gigarocket doesn't factory reset accounts here. That function doesn't exist in cpanel. Nor do we clean up accounts. You will need to clean it yourself. Suggest you delete all of your add on domains, if you had any of those, and particularly the content of your public_html directory.

Further note Gigarocket doesn't like idle hosting accounts as they usually mean scripts that may not have been updated, are out of date, and vulnerable for hacking. If you check our TOS you will also note that is against our Forum Rules. It is never a good idea to have Websites unattended. If you see you're too busy to attend to your account, the least you could do is let us know so we can temporarily suspend your account and safeguard it from malicious bots.

Also note that you will need to change the name servers of your new domain to Gigarocket's name servers to get it to point to your Website here, if you haven't already done so. Note that if you are going to do it now, it may take some time for the name servers to propagate.

ns1.gigasite.co.uk
ns2.gigasite.co.uk

If you cannot access your account during the propagation phase of your name servers, you can use our gigapages.net access to cpanel:

Thanks for the help with changing the domain. I was able to get my account to a working condition by cleaning out my old files.

I'm sorry about the inactivity with my account. I'm sure it won't happen again. Additionally, I'll definitely start posting here again.
