Files/Directories being marked as not being there

It seemed to have fixed it's self, but is there anyway to prevent this from happening?
The easy way would be to make simple html page that act as gallery, or install some small and open source gallery script, with that you will be 100% sure that you wont have that problem again, also the page will look neat and attractive, instead of dull and boring.
