I`m currently installing Froxlor on one of my Debian machines, I`ve only found out about it today. Looking forward to having a play around with it.

Anyone else tried it? What are your thoughts?

Thanks Chris for sharing, I am going to play around with it on my debian vps.

EDIT:

I have checked out the demo, I have no idea what I am going to do with it to be fair.

Looks as though Floxlor is available as a Debian template and very easy to install. Probably worth looking into if one likes Debian. May make it a project over a next weekend to check it out.

I Googled it a little and what I also like is it has an active community attached to it. It is open source. Haven't read enough to make a verdict but looks as though a large number of people are using it on personal home servers.

Yeah, that is cool thing about this Floxor, + is totaly free which means that more people can use it. The admin panel is kind of hard to understand, but definately going to check it out, that could be a plan in the future to host small websites for friends and family.

Thanks for the heads up Chris. I'd have had to change the OS for loading Froxlor so think I'll leave it for now.

I still like WEBUZO very much. The last time when I thought I had an issue, and it turned out to be a simple restart solution, I gave the WEBUZO Control Panel a great workout and it came out tops. It's enormously easy to make backups and restoring is perfect. There are little things one has to watch out with during the installation, i.e. to have a clean OS install, and no matter how I did it, it never turned out clean, but then WEBUZO had a work around for that, and that baled me out. Another issue was to find the password for phpAdmin, which we don't need to have in cPanel. In WEBUZO one has to have it. I again was able to find a workaround for that by Googling it.

I need to find a good tutorial for this - I've been playing with one of my own machines (locally) as a VPS for internal purposes.
