Am having great fun at the Oliver Tambo international airport trying out a tablet that is permanently affixed to a desk. Have take photos and will post them in a day or two. Novel idea. Local bank promoting its service in a novel way.

That's a pretty nice idea. Being able to interact with anything to an extent larger than just a leaflet is always far better promotion. I'm pretty sure that if I saw such tablet being publicy available, I'd surely get some photos using it :D

Great idea, indeed.

Here are the promised photos of the bank promotion site with internet service to passengers:

Unfortunately for some or other reason my laptop could not work in the very comfortable cubicles provided below:

So next option was my first experience with a tablet - as per below. Found it very entertaining.

How did your first experience with a tablet go?
(Says probably the only person in my area without a tablet. As long as a have a phone I feel like a tablet would be redundant, but a lot of people seem to like them.)

@"Yozora" The learning felt instinctive. Thought I was doing well. Until at the end of all of that when I wanted to make sure there were no cookies and remnants left, and witnessed someone who was a whizz at tablets opening windows that I hadn't been aware existed. Doubt I'll go out to buy something immediately, but there must be some fun in learning all of the wrist and finger movements. Like dancing with them. :p

@Hazem Haha you're right! I slipped up! Those books were not mine though. They belonged to one of the two very smart attendants who must have been studying for exams. Should have taken a photo of the two young attendants as well as they had been immaculately dressed in black suits with white shirts and tie. They seemed to be IT specialists of a kind.

Jobs are hard to come by in South Africa. Just read an article that the Police Department had advertised 400 odd jobs and received 2000 plus genuine applications. They can pick the absolute best that are available in every sector of the country. Almost like in Canada.
