gigarank site modification

hello

i think gigarank forums is using mybb forums script.

how about if gigarank uses simple machine script. it has very good layout and more tools in it

what you think about upgrading gigarank forums into simple machine script.

it is only suggestion to gigarank because smf have more beautiful layouts than mybb.

SMF is less secure and has a lot more spam. I think mybb is fine.

I don't have any experience with SMF, but from what I've heard it is a very simple and basic installation compared with your more dynamic free forum scripts like phpBB and myBB. Spam for me is relative to the precautions one takes to combat spam, and I'd say they're about equal with any forum script.

SMF have a very active community with 300,000+ members, have some very good portals as modifications and there are some pretty awesome free themes.

If you are starting a new website, this is a script to consider. But if you are pretty comfortable with MyBB, I don't see much reason to change to SMF.

mybb is not simple as compared to smf.u can see the total members of smf vs mybb using.u see the online members in smf forums and compare with mybb.

myBB can do both. But because of security reasons most myBB forums don't show the memberlist and IPs publicly. Only the staff have access to those. What I can recommend to you if you're interested is to start your own myBB forum just for fun and check through all of the features as an Admin. You'll then get to see how dynamic it is. One can either have it with the minimum of features or add a wide variety of plugins. If one is good with coding, the sky is the limit. myBB can be both simple or more complex depending on the features one wants to use.
