HDD / SSD Cloning Software

I'm planning to migrate to SSD from HDD on my laptop. Rather than a clean install and reinstall all software, apps etc. I'm hoping to clone my HDD to an external HDD prior to a migration to a SSD.

I'm not looking at freeware for this, I have important files and little time to fresh install and reinstall all data.

Could anyone recommend any software or techniques?

For your original post, how dare you say you're not looking at freeware!? Reflect(free version) clearly works.
Source: I've used it to clone my HDD to my current boot drive, a SSD.

As for your second post, you don't really need that connector if your laptop can support two SATA drives. Else, that connector will help.

I used to work for a company here in Geneva, and we used only mac, but Carbon Copy Cloner rocks you can use the trial and you can copy as much as you want, i can tell that for mac is the best and fastest i have found for cloning SSDs using thunderbolt of course

I'm using a mac so I'm always using Carbon Copy Cloner. It's a very fast tool to clone pretty much any drive and it is also possible to create ISO files from your hard drive. It isn't free but definitely worth the price. Would definitely give it a try.

Could you tell us more about why you think that Aomei is best? What makes it stand out from other similar software?
