Thank you for the welcome, I would like to be able to say that, " I am a top level developer, experienced in multiple languages, anyone needing advice, just give me 3 minutes!" But, I would be lying. The truth is, I am a retired analog M.S.E.E, who has not even created a site since before html5! Oh well, at least I am getting old!
Seriuosly, thanks for having me, I will try to figure out what & how without pestering all of you! And I REALLY appreciate all of you who take the time to share with us less knowledgeable minions.

Welcome to Gigarank Psylosyphyr . Of course as long as you can make 10 QUALITY posts of the kind that discusses something or make a contribution to a discussion, and you read and agree our terms and conditions, it will be fairly easy to put a Website together. Not much to it. You don't even have to bother us. If you Google the topic, there will be hundreds of tutorials that pop up immediately.

WordPress is very easy so can recommend the following tutorial to you for beginner:

Appreciate the info, thanks much! And I was attempting to use a bit of sarcasm as. Humour obviously
not my strongest skill! Seriously, I have created and managed several complete sites, I just haven't been actively involved for about 4-5 years. (Ill wife). Hopefully I can contribute, surely a newbie can gain from my past experience, if nothing more right off.:undecided:

Aha! You got me there for a bit. :p

Good part however is that I'm now working through the tutorial for a refresher. One needn't be a beginner to pick up on really good tips, and the Tyler Moore tutorials are great for good tips. Like there may be a few ways to do something with WordPress, but he points out the easiest way of doing anything, like creating a menu, or turning off comments etc.

I'm almost half way through the tutorial and this time round Tyler is using a premium theme from themeforest.net called Delta. One thing I've learned with this guy is that it is not what the theme appears to look like that we should be focused on, but the functions it comes with that count. For example ability to create full page, blog page, i.e. a few different options for creating pages. Flexibility of styles and fonts, etc.

Welcome to Gigarank! There are non-web development related forums as well, so I'm sure you'll be able to find some threads to contribute to. :)
