I have found this via the internet called "Google" The power of the world. I went with the list and I found this. So that I'm gonna give it a try.

I was looking for free options for online/cloud db hosting and Gigarocket.net was recommended as the best option.

My requirement is to setup a MySQL DB for Web App Dev and connect APIs to it. I work on different devices so I want the DB to be hosted on a shared and always available resource. The DB is also the most memory intensive part of the Web App Dev so it's good to have that freed up for compiling and other Dev functions.

i read about you in a review of the 10 best hosting webs for free :D you were the first ones.

Search engine- google.
But it was under search term "free webhosting", nowehere was mentioned that you have to post on forums before you are entitled to the hosting space.

Its pretty easy to reach the posts needed to get the free hosting, its just a measure to see that you are genuine and is here to stay for a long time.

I found the site by accident, tried other web hosting sites, which I didn't find very customisable, and reading this one appears to be more. Found this site as a website I use is hosted here and impressed with it. The site was mentioned on the forums and google found a reference to it.

Went looking on DDG for ways to host a BookStack instance. Some research led me here looking for a VPS but I learned shared cPanel hosting would also do what I want.

Where did you learn this. I looked it up on the BookStack installation requirements documentation and it says shared hosting won't do:

Also note that to get a free hosting account with Gigarocket you need to make 10 QUALITY posts. One liner posts or posts with very little discussion in it or posts that don't directly contribute to the topic of the discussion don't qualify for quality posts and also risk being removed from the discussion. They also don't earn you quality credits and are removed from your post credit account when you apply for a hosting account. I found the website by searching "best free hosting websites", not going to lie this might be the best one I've found yet.
