How to choose your target group?

You should start your website by choosing for a good niche, like you can see in my last tutorial. Keep it as small and specific possible.

When you really want go get a lot of visitors you should make something todo for your visitors, let them stay on your website as long as possible without annoying them.

You should know who your target group is, your website should fit into that target.
Now you are thinking... Does Google care about my design? More then you think!
Google looks at hundreds of things on website to index them. Google looks at relevant/good information for her users. The better your website fits the needs of your target group the more Google likes your website.

Don't only look at how many visitors you get through Google, but also what kind of results you get from your visitors. A visitor that leaves your website straight away isn't really a visitor. You need to offer them something.

Like Gigalicous does with the free web hosting offer and the free .US domain contest.
Which by the way I am getting pretty close to :p

Yes bro, we should take easy, short, and easily rememberable domain for our website not like 'mywebsiteisbestintheworld.com', always try to search, investigate, and suggest your best domain name. 60% site depends on domain name..

True - and getting pretty close to? You're past the limit.

Your target audience can make up for little traffic if they're heavily targeted from the beginning and all content is written /created for them.

Google doesn't care for designs google care about your content. For me the ideal target group is that you can actually known and has passion about it. And of course if you are not good in English you should not go with an English site. Target your own language. It's more easier to rank.

Totally agreed. Particularly about passion and your specialist knowledge of the subject. :good:
