How to get rid of Windows 10 Icon

Thanks for this info. I tried the program and it works well. As soon as it finished running, the rpm on my cpu fan slowed down.

Ok, once you run the program, it ask you to reboot for the changes to take effect. I just did that. All the GWX icons gone. Windows update actually works again like its supposed to now. Its telling me I have 17 updates available. I haven't had a notification show up since the sent out the windows 10 updates. My fan doesn't seem to be running as fast as it used to now. Although, I think someone installed a mod for the fan to run faster to keep the laptop cooler.
I will note, that when I used the clear the windows update cache, it deleted over 800 files.
Windows 7 seems to load a bit faster now. I will try it for a few days and see how things go from here.

I updated straight to windows 10 but thats because I do not do a lot of work on my windows pc so I wouldn't mind if I lost some software. But if you ever do upgrade to windows 10 make sure all your software that you have installed will not screw up windows 10. i had a piece of software that worked perfectly fine on windows 8 but completley broke my windows 10. It wouldn't let me access control panel, file manager or anything pretty much. i had install a piece of software to uninstall it because I was unable to get to the default windows uninstaller because of this glitch. So my PC almost became non functnal because of this glitch with software.
