Agreed. And I remember the Hotel I stayed at was rickety. Like that old architecture where if someone walks next door you can hear the wood creaking. Carpets that are decades old. What impressed me though was that many Parisians can speak English. I also wonder why people would like to climb walls like that. They have plenty of those in South Africa, and the ones in South Africa are electrified as well. Maybe those in Roubaix are too.
