I did try to search to see if this had been asked / discussed before but IRC is too short a word to search for apparently :nea:

So I was thinking is there a reason we don't have an IRC room here? Could be used for support and / or just general chat and socialising, I think it'd be nice to have a channel to "hang out" in, I think it could add to the already awesome community you guys have going here

Would rather use the forums myself, IRC chat isn't kept through time, seems like a black hole for knowledge for this particular type of community.
