Is hosting an Internet radio fine?

I ask mainly because I enjoy listening to music while gaming, and would like to host a few songs here so I can listen to them.

It probably depends whether you have enough resources and the music is not copyrighted.

There is a member of Gigarank who did create an Internet radio - Noel - he didn't have issues, but imagine he was aware of copyright.

I have the resources, but finding not copyrighted music for an entire enjoyable playlist is hard.

I checked on some of that radio's songs, and they turn out to be copyrighted but he's covered by Spotify. Meanwhile, this radio I'm intending on making is solely for my use.

Yes. I don't have any intention of making it public. If it does become public though, that's probably by a hack.

You might want to apply for a license to stream copyrighted music as well. It can be expensive depending on the country.

I would have, but there's a number of songs that plain do not have that option(they don't sell here, and are a pain to find where to get a license from).

You always have NCS on youtube for your radio. Songs are good and non copyrighted. Many people use them on youtube.

You can create your own station using Plesk web application. You can create your playlist and listen in pc, tablet and smartphone. I've created a web radio too using gigarank vps and shoutcast installed
