Is There a Charge for These Plugins?

I've been looking at plugins on wp today and am wondering if there are charges for these unless they say they are free. Asking because I found one that is listed in the wp plugins on Google search, and the ad there said it is $45.00 a month after the 30-day free trial. So, does wp notify the host if a plugin is installed, then a charge is billed monthly for it?

I believe what they do is, ask for your credit card for the free trial and then start billing you after 30 days. There is most likely a special code inside the the plugin to tell it when to ask for the registration of the subscription. If you don't input the code, it will become non functional.

Suggest that you only look for plugins from Wordpress.org as that way you can get a proper review for it. Otherwise verify the source of the plugin to make sure it is a legitimate source. $45 a month for a plugin sounds totally out of whack to me. What is the plugin? Can you let us know what it is so we can check it out too?

The name of the plugin I saw on Google search was Landing Page Builder by Wishpond, and that's where I saw the charge of $45.00 a month after the 30-day trial. Then I saw what I believe was the same plugin on WP when I searched there under landing page builders, but in the review I saw nothing there about a charge. The review talked about creating landing pages which could be hosted anywhere, and I was looking for something to create on WP which could be shown on FB.

I downloaded another one on WP called WP lead plus free squeeze page creator, but haven't tried it out yet. WYSIWYG webpage creator looks interesting, and the ad on WP says there has been 10,000+ installs of it.
