Is there a restriction concerning ico files on the free web hosting plan? I get this whenever I try to go to the location of my favicon, i've even changed it's name and location multiple times

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I'm not sure, but I'm on the free web hosting here and I'm not having a problem. Which means there has to be a way to make it work :)

From what you've said, it sounds like it could be a permission issue. Make sure your file permissions are set correctly.

I guess if I can't figure it out I'll just upload the ico file to a different site, but I'd like to figure it out. :p

And how would I do that? .htaccess? That's empty

Error log:

I fixed it, thanks, I figured out how to change the file permissions xD
