Justin Timberlake .... hugh!

So when I made a booking for a hotel in Vancouver, it was rather last minute and accommodation difficult to get. So without really realizing it, I landed at a hotel directly opposite BC Place. BC place is an enormous stadium that provides space for football, hockey, lots of other events and now it would seem rock stars as well. I only discovered this after I arrived. My room is directly opposite the stadium, no barriers at all although I can't see into the stadium of course as it is covered. There is an enormous racket going on there right now, and so when I checked the Internet found that Justin Timberlake is going to appear there tonight at 8:00 p.m. My room is reverberating with all of the sound. And that is preparation only at 4:30 p.m. He's supposed to come on at 8:00 p.m. Maybe I should bale out for a number of hours?

OK this is the write up about the tour I found:

The Legends of the Summer tour is a collaborative stadium concert tour co-headlined by R&B star Justin Timberlake and rapper Jay-Z. The tour marks Timberlake's first concert tour since 2007, and his upcoming album release The 20/20 Experience will be his first since 2006. Both Jay-Z and Timberlake collaborated on the single "Suit & Tie" that was released in January 2013.

So are there Justin Timberlake fans here and what about Jay-Z?

I'm hearing rapping now ... they're probably already playing music by the rapper part of the concert. Not sure I like it as much.

lol it's a very big concert touring North America. Surprised that you can feel the reverberation - might want to complain to hotel staff (might just get you a discount or complimentary breakfast).

I'm working up to the discount. May have a solid discussion with them about this tomorrow.

I can't identify with any of them. Haha .... last night was quite something. I baled out when it got too noisy and made my way to the opposite end of downtown Vancouver, and hit right into crowds on their way to English Way for a major fireworks display. So moved along with them, and made a smooth exit when I found a gap. NEVER a good idea to move against crowds. Must say they were well behaved however. By the time I got home a few hours later, the radio station that was promoting Justin Timberlake under my window went quiet, and the noises of Timberlake's concert were not as pronounced under the covered arena. Surprised myself and slept like a log. Go figure! I've got insomnia problems usually. Haha! Maybe it was noise I was lacking.

My sentiments exactly. Definitely a strange place where I ended up for my crowd aversion. Today found myself on the West side of Vancouver downtown, much more normal. And also much more interesting. May make my way there again tomorrow. It's the main road on the way to the University of British Columbia. Went on a long hike, and just realized I've been living too long in the Middle East.
