There are many ways to do it, this is one that everyone can do.

open a terminal
  • windows
    • win+x and click on Command Prompt
    • win+r and type cmd and hit ENTER
    • Start->Programs->(Accessories | windows System) ->Command Prompt.
  • Linux
    • ctrl + ALt + T

Next Step, type
  • windows
    • ipconfig /all hit enter and find default gateway
  • Linux
Go to the browser and open with the default gateway, if it does not work, use other Port, like 8080

Good luck

two IP addresses. One is internal and the other is external which your ISP gives your router and is how webpages find their way back to you. The external IP may be dynamic (changes from time to time) which is the most likely case for most home users... or you have a static IP address which never changes.

A static IP is what we use for webservers. Very briefly, a domain name is simply a name thats easy for us humans to remember. The DNS system converts that domain name in to a static IP address of your web hosting server. It has to be static because it needs to be found at the same address each time.

If you're running a service from home, say for example you want to run a server or remotely connect to your home PC - there are other methods that will track your dynamic IP (see DynDNS service)

Follow ferreira's instructions to find your internal LAN ip address.

Yes it's true, I change the post topic.
I was only trying to teach how to get access to the router from the intranet and not from Internet.
maybe other time, I will do it to how to access router from Internet.

Are you guys talking about IP addresses needed to access your router configs?

Linksys Routers are usually 192.168.1.1

Newer Cisco Routers that Comcast gives out: 10.0.0.1

Generelly when you type 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 it will work. But all the devices connected to this router will show one default ip and again if you want to find out their local ips you have to login to the router and check.

your router's internal ip should be usualy the default gateway of the net. In case you don't know how to find this on the current Os you are running --> what you wanna do on the router's admin interface ???
