Most of us still have PC`s and Macs. What are your specs? Do you have a power hungry monster or and old PC?

Why don`t you share with the community.

I have an old pc - looking to upgrade (I'm embarassed of my specs, it's a single core unit - that alone says enough).

I just bought a new laptop because I got a job working at home. I only had a few hundred dollars, so it's not like for gaming or anything =P but it's good enough to do tech support for the cloud application my company runs.

750 GB hard drive, 2.1Ghz processor, 15.6" screen Gateway laptop for $299. I thought it was pretty good for the price. My mom bought one too! Windows 8 isn't as weird as you think once you get the Start button back!

Yep! I'm on very basic equipment at home. At work I'm completely on the other extreme end. I'll check if I can find the specs, as I'm still on leave, but it's a pretty awesome Dell computer at work. The one I have at home is generic, no-brand and put together from bits and pieces.

Having said that, my performance at home is great. Internet is maybe faster at work, but with all of the fancy hardware and bells and whistles of the new operating software etc. in the end there is not much of a difference.

OK, here are the specs of my computer at work. Got it two months ago, and it's pretty awesome. I'm thinking of getting the exact same one for home. Could be however that by the time I do replace my home computer, I'll be on different technology.

Dell OptiPlex 9010
3rd Gen Core i7,
Intel 3 i7-3770 / 3.4 GHz
Quad-Core
Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2
Cache Memory: L3 cache - 8 MB
4 GB RAM - Technology DDR3 SDRAM
500GB Hard Drive - 7200 rpm
Intel HD Graphics 4000 Dynamic Video Memory Technology
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Edition

It's a mini tower, to conserve space. So looks like this:

While we are at it, these are the specs of my travel laptop. I bought it last year when I was traveling to Canada and Ecuador for six weeks. And the technology is still excellent. Used it for my last trip to Vancouver too. Just noticed the i7 is no longer available for sale. Wonder whether Toshiba has come out with a new edition? Would be awesome if it is one with greater battery life. The battery life is not too bad, maybe three or four hours depending on what one does, definitely not the eight they say it has. But I heard they were doing some work on the battery side of things.

My laptop is a "lenovo T400", which is a rather old laptop model.
Although It may be old, the speed of It and the amount of customized plugins I have to make my PC look good proves true power and speed within the processor.

My full specs are as followed:
ore 2 Duo - P8400 - 2.26 GHz - DDR3 SDRAM - 2 GB - Serial ATA - 160 GB DVD+/-RW (+/-R DL) - Intel GMA 4500MHD - 14.1 Inch - TFT active matrix

I've upgraded my RAM to 3000MB(3GB) , I've also upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate.

Overall It's a very nice laptop/PC as I've stated above, powerful and smooth-running. :bomb:
