Need some help moving a site here

Hello! I am about to purchase your cheapest hosting plan. Apparently my previous host suspended my site and when I went to the client area it said it was suspended as well - I am guessing their "bigger host" suspended them (?) this is something I was always affraid of, that it might get suspended because they don't have a forum like in here - where we can see you're actually working and alive! So, even if they do come back and fix the issue, I don't want to keep the site there after this (there was another problem with them last year, this was the last drop!)

I've made a backup in december - I think I only lost an update or two. I did the backup following the instructions Genesis posted here on the forums - do I just upload it? (Like @"iGdesigner" explained in another thread below this one?) I didn't save any databases. Was it included in the backup I made using the cpanel backup tool?

Sorry for these questions. I have to update the site today, really have to, and this had to happen today.

Yes @tangledmemories

If you made a full account backup you should have everything including your database.
If you have creted full site backup, then you will be only able to get your public_html folder with your website and subdomains.

If you're a Premium Member you can open tickets. Suggest once you've registered as a Premium Member that you upload your full backup to your cPanel and then ask un4 in your first ticket if he could do his magic with the backup.

Thanks everyone!!!

I am not sure if I will go to the shared hosting package or the reseller, since I was going to host a different website here but now that this happened I'll just have to host both on the same account (I like to keep everything separeted...) ---- will I be able to move another time, if I want to, to the reseller option?

This might take a while, it's around 2gb - not much but my wifi is slow.

No problem. And it is not difficult to keep things separate in the shared account. All you need to do is create an "add on" domain, and then move the other Website content to the "add on" domain. When you create an "add on" domain it automatically creates a sub-folder. You can then upload the content to that sub-folder with your file manager. Or you could FTP the content as when you create an "add on" domain cPanel automatically creates a separate FTP for that "add on" folder as well.

When you have a paid account, you are also entitled to one shared free account. When you acquire a reseller account later on, you could open a ticket and ask whether it is possible to have "X content" moved from shared account to reseller. You still get to keep your shared free account unless you don't want one, in which case you would then ask for the shared free account to be changed to a reseller. Not sure why you would want a reseller though as it's more for creating accounts for others, usually by selling accounts. If you want more space, I'd go for cheap hosting instead and use the unlimited "add on" domain feature for separating your accounts.
