In summary VPS Hosting goes with Forum participation over a longer period of time. First you make enough QUALITY posts (10) for a hosting account. Then demonstrate your ability to manage the hosting account while making the balance of 90 posts to get to the 100 post requirement for a free VPS hosting account. That can take some weeks.

Once you have the free VPS account you are asked to make 25 monthly maintenance posts to keep your VPS account.
