New Year's Resolutions?

I guess New Year's Resolutions are there to be broken, but sometimes they're fun to make anyways. I'm going to try and be less lazy and procrastinate less for 2014. Write more blog posts, and work on more Websites. Maybe do a course in teaching English to those with English as a Second Language. As a back-up plan for when my contract in the UAE comes to an end in September 2014. It's a hard course however, probably won't have much time for anything else if I should do it. Probably should make inquiries soon. Good start for wishing to procrastinate less.

Any one else for some New Year's Resolutions? :p

I'm not really for New Year's Resolutions, but would like to get my blog sorted out. Hopefully I can get that started after the New Years.

I want to live with my girlfriend next year. Thats going to get hard. I just lost my job a couple of months ago and now work elsewhere for less and she doesn't have a job at all.

I hope we can make it happen financially.

Finish up a few projects that have been waiting for about a year that I never got up to doing and get better grades

Sounds pretty impressive Caroline, particularly since you're actively pursuing the resolutions and seeing them through. Well done!

My New Year Resolutions are:
  • Becoming good at competitive programming
  • Get my first job
  • Learn Python and Java
  • Visit few tourist places which I've never visited

New Years resolutions eh, hmmm, not so sure it counts as such but I'd like to promise myself that somehow I'll become a multi millionaire this year, maybe some really rich person will just decide they'd like to make me rich too, yeah I know, "smell the coffee dreamer", hah, no-one said they had to be realistic. :)

I'm usually pretty leery of resolutions, though I did pretty well last year. My goal was to get rid of something everyday - throw out, give away, recycle, sell. I didn't do it every day but I did get rid of more than 300 items.

This year I just want to play my guitar more and get less stressed out about things.

Dang! I love this resolution. I should go for this one. Maybe every weekend though instead of every day. Particularly since I may have to move in September, so will be good to be lean and mean by that time.

There's nothing like a move to help you re-evaluate the importance of various possessions!

I hope you give it a try. It's so easy for me to accumulate things (mostly of little or no value, of course), so it was a little hard at first. Now, I just look at it as making room for better things - and not just material things - to come into my life.

My New Year's Resolution is to write more and stop procrastinating. The only way to improve writing is to keep practicing and I can't do that if I also keep procrastinating :/ My grades will go down if I don't do anything about it

Well a blog is certainly a way to write regularly. And a news project gives one something fixed to write about. Definitely an interesting project that should get you going.

My news years resolution last year was 1080p. I've got a new 4K TV though now, so this year my New Years resolution will be 2160p.

Hope everyone had a good New Year's! Been too busy to really think my New Year's resolutions over yet, but they'll probably involve something about learning more web programming languages & reading more Japanese novels to keep my language skills up (and because I like them ^-^).

What's everyone else's resolutions?
