I personally hate both, but in the community I live presently everyone is on FB. The whole community is connected with FB. Whenever there is an emergency this is how people keep in touch with one another - like a wild fire going on all of the time. I've come across no one yet who are using Twitter for communicating with one another. Pininterest maybe. But if one doesn't have a connection to FB, one loses out on what is going on. I've found time and again businesses in the local community who don't have Websites, but they do have Facebook pages.rrroberts said:Do young folks prefer Twitter over FB?
I agree. A few decades OK people were limited to their old phones and telephone lines to talk to one another. Now we have wireless technology and people seem to be following it slavishly to the extent of being glued to their little smart phones. I'd say virtual reality is already playing a huge role in how we communicate with one another without necessarily really getting to know one another. Like families go to dinner and working their smart phones while they are waiting for dinner to arrive.quakeislight said:I think virtual reality is going to completely change the way social media works...
Same here. Glad there's nothing of me on Facebook. Just the thought of it makes me cringe.Yozora said:That sounds like it could be potentially embarrassing for the kids themselves when they got older too. Makes me glad there was no Facebook when I was a baby. I can't imagine how I would deal with having all my baby pictures online...
