You can't see a man in the middle attack or know about a man in the middle attack unless you have software like IDS. Even if it was why would man in the middle want to redirect you to a website where you buy aquarium pieces from a web hosting service, it does not make any sense.

A man in the middle is usually used to eavesdrop on two users talking to each other to deliver a false message to one of the users. Most commonly used to swap encryption keys.
